Bendigo Health Education and Research Annual Report 2013

Bendigo Health Education and Research Annual Report 2013

Research Report

As Bendigo Health moves towards the building of the New Bendigo Hospital it is understood that the provision of high quality health services is reliant upon more than the bricks and mortar of a new building.  A highly skilled workforce who are focussed and supported to facilitate continuous quality improvement will be essential to enable the provision of evidence based person centred care.

At Bendigo Health the Organisational Development and Improvement (ODI) division proudly includes the Collaborative Health Education and Research Centre (CHERC). CHERC are charged with the co-ordination of clinical education for undergraduate students and most clinical staff, leadership in project management and research.

This report outlines some of the achievements of CHERC throughout the 2011-2012 period.  It also recognises some of the research outputs from across our organisation as an example of the high quality, relevant research being undertaken at our regional health service.
