There will be a range of Hospital Medical Officers (HMO) positions at Bendigo Health in 2026, consisting of PGY2 and PGY3+ doctors.
There will be 41 PGY2 positions at Bendigo Health in 2026. Each PGY2 will complete four rotations that meet the requirements of the AMC National Framework for Prevocational Medical Training (NFPMT).
The PGY2 positions at Bendigo Health are designed to provide a general year for PGY2s to further broaden their experience as a doctor in training prior to embarking on more specialised or vocational training from the following year as a PGY3.

Bendigo Health offer a range of PGY3+ positions where doctors in training can commence focusing on a specific specialty in preparation for entering vocational training. Bendigo Health will be offering a range of streams that enable completion of required rotations and experience for entry into college training programs.

Within your cover letter, the preferred rotations should be mentioned and this will be discussed further during the interview. Successful candidates will then have opportunity to preference rotation combinations and Bendigo Health will endeavour to provide you with the required rotations for your training pathway.
Most PGY2/3s at Bendigo will be required to undertake a Leave Relief or External rotation.
