Hospital Medical Officers

There will be 50 HMO positions available at Bendigo Health in 2019, consisting of PGY2 and PGY3+ doctors. You are able to apply for a Surgical, General, Critical Care or Medical (BPT1 & 2) focused year.

How are rotations allocated?

Within cover letters, the rotations that are desired should be mentioned. Successful candidates will then have opportunity to rank all rotations in order of preference. Bendigo Health does their best to provide you with the required rotations for your training pathway.

Are there compulsory rotations?

Most HMOs at Bendigo will be required to undertake a Relieving or External rotation. The exception is HMOs on the BPT pathway. PMCV Computer match dates for Bendigo HMO and BPT positions  Bendigo will not have positions in the PMCV match.

GP Registrars

There is a strong GP registrar program at Bendigo Health aimed at developing a variety of  specialty interests through extended skills and advanced procedural posts.

How far each skill is developed depends highly on registrars existing skills and each unit is keen and able to develop skills at any level. There is close liaison between MCCC. Candidates enrolled in RACGP or ACCRM are encouraged to apply for each position directly via the current vacancies link.
