Youth Mental Health Service

What to expect

The Youth Mental Health is a tertiary mental health service for young people aged 18 to 25 years through three distinct programs - YEPS, YEIT (Community) and YPARC (Residential). Treatment and care is delivered to youth within the Loddon Campaspe Southern Mallee region.

YMH takes a flexible, client-centered approach to working with young people, and collaborates with the young person’s supports to ensure better long-term outcomes.

Youth engaged with this service will have regular mental state examinations and risk assessments by their lead clinician which will assist in informing treatment planning and will have reviews with a Consultant Psychiatrist.

The focus is on early intervention, treatment and stabilization to ensure illnesses are less likely to persist untreated and result in long-term disability.
