Community Advisory Committee

Community Advisory Committee

The Community Advisory Committee is a sub-committee of the Bendigo Health Board of Directors.  The Community Advisory Committee has two critical roles, firstly to provide direction and leadership in relation to integration of consumer, carer and community views into all levels of the Health Service operations, planning and policy development.  Secondly, to advise the Bendigo Health Board of Directors (the Board) on behalf of the community.  Membership of the Community Advisory Committee should reflect consumer and communities, not health care providers.

The Community Advisory Committee objectives are to:

a)      Advise the Board on behalf of the community

b)      Identify and advise the Board on priority areas and issues requiring community engagement.

c)      Develop, monitor and evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of a Strategic Community Plan endorsed by the Board.
